Afternoon all

We’ve been a bit quiet this last few months but wanted y’all to know we’re not dead. Matt died inside for a bit but he’s much happier now – ask him, he’s on Facebook.

Anyway, we went a bit quiet cos Mark got busy at work (someone has to make the tea and ass kiss clients), Matt got busy at work too got lazy as all apprentices do (ask his boss, Sam), Deano got sacked then reinstated cos we couldn’t be arsed looking around for another guitarist missed him so much and Byson had a personality transplant and works much harder now; happily playing songs three times before having a little cry about how much his legs hurt or his tits are sore hat is heavy.

But, we are around and practicing and we’re playing at least one gig this year, the fantastic WestonPhest; this is where we’ll be unveiling our greatest, finest and most influential addition to the band ever, my new plectrum Mr. Meggy From The UK. He plays keyboards, eats classy shit and screws everything that moves – a perfect addition to our otherwise middle of the road outfit.

So… keep your eyes peeled, we’re about and messing about with some shit now n then…..

Just had a little gig at Stereo in Barnsley confirmed by promotion guru “Tommo”.

Probably be free entry or a couple of quid, can’t be much can it; it’s a shit hole reasonably average establishment.

Well we’ve just come off stage at The Foundry, the main venue for WestonPHest.

We unveiled the new take on the sound with Deano hitting up the acoustic a lot more and Byson bringing a fresh sound to the rhythm section.

So we’ve got our final band camp practice today with Byson finally learning the songs…

Kinda cutting it fine for WestonPhest tomorrow but hey, where’s the fun in not doing?!

Hi guys, we’re playing at WestonPhest on Sunday 3rd October, at 6.30pm.

This is our first gig back after our bit of time off, and the welcome gig for our new drummer, Mr. Byson White.

We’ll be playing a newly reworked set with a nicely placed fancy cover for you to get your ears around, and Dean will be there too. It’s for a fantastic cause so we’d love to see you down there cheering on the new guy Byson – if you want to make t-shirts or throw pants at him, that’s cool.

Also, he like cookies. So please bring some. Anyway, back to the event… take a look at what is says on the official Facebook page:

WestonPhest is a new mini festival taking place in Barnsley. All money from ticket sales will go to Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity based in Sheffield.

There will be 34 local bands playing over 4 venues, each playing a different genre of music.

Foundry – Main Stage
…deja vu – Rock & Indie
Vou-Dou – Hard Rock & Metal
Retro – Pop/Rock & Alternative

The main stage will be the venue for the final of open-mic competition which we are also running. The winner receives a £1000 recording session in a studio and professional photo shoot.

The auditions will be taking place at Lucorum on Wednesday 29th September along with a few bands. Get in for FREE with a WestonPHest ticket.

Tickets are now on sale from Retro, The Civic and HMV. You can also buy your tickets directly from Steve Laycock. The first 200 tickets sold are only £5. After that they are £6.50 so get yours NOW!!!
